Tuesday May 28th 2013 –The Institute for Renewable Energy Promotion (IREP) of the Ministry of Energy and Mines and the World Bank hosted the Inception Workshop of Lao CSI Phase 2, which was held in the IREP meeting room at the 6th floor on May 28th, 2013 in Vientiane. This was participated by the SNV RE section leader and ICS programme manager. Groupe Energies Renouvelables, Environnement et Solidarités (GERES) are the advisory institute and the Lao Institute for Renewable Energy (LIRE) as implementing partner. 30 participants from MEM/IREP, MOST/RENMI, MoFin, MAF, MoH, MIC, MNRE, MICT, LWU, NUoL, representatives from The World Bank, ADB, AusAid, EC, USAID, ARMI, SNV, Oxfam, and stove producers in Vientiane.

The main objectives of this workshop were to share the overview of the works ahead of the project, present the draft inception report and action plan of the Cook Stoves Initiatives by Mr. Iwan Baskoro and Mr. Julien Jacquot from GERES.

The first phase of program takes time developed PTT1, PTT2 and PTT3, the result is not yet achieve to target that programme aim to have high efficiency, save fuel, save time for cooking (minimum heat lost). Therefore, programme to develop PTT4&PTT5.
