Initial and practice ICS production by using ICS production tools in Champasak.

On 19-28 February 2013, ICS staff visited the producer Mr. Khammai in Nonsavanh village to work on using ICS production tools to produce Taopayat. There are 4 workers as Ms. Nang, Ms. Noy, Ms. Khanh and Mr. Mai, to start produce 5 stoves per person for learning ICS stove production process in Nonsavanh village. The first step, they soaked the clay for one night this to make sure that clay are well absorb water and then they mixed the clay with black rice husk ash, by using foot to step on, at that time we found that they used less for the black rice ash in mixing so the clay very stick together and difficult for use stove butterflying to cut around inside the stove body, after that we have discussed about the problem met with 4 workers that why the stove body is not equal in each part the finalize let them continue to make stove trimming and dried about 24 hour and then waiting for the stove firing in the kiln until the last step is assembly to complete the stove production process by using ICS production tools. The result for stove molding of 4 producers in Nonsavanh village is able to produce Taopayat due to everybody has a lot of experience from stove production for existing stove.
